God doesn’t give His love in pieces.  His love is unconditional, full, real.

His love is life, filling us, making us whole.

His love will change everything.

Love this article by Kris Vallotton!

“Many of us can feel the vacuum of this vortex drawing our hearts into this divine destiny. We find our inner man longing, stirring, and burning for the great adventure. Live or die, we must press through the walls of mediocrity and find the Promised Land of our souls. We live with a passion to be numbered among those who have gained fame in the halls of Heaven and are feared among the prison guards of hell. If we are going to walk as God’s ruling royalty, we have to:

  • Pray unceasingly
  • Give sacrificially
  • Dream unreasonably
  • Serve wholeheartedly
  • Love unashamedly
  • Walk innocently
  • Believe un-doubtingly
  • Live powerfully

We are to carry God’s authority into the lives of people and nations through invitation, not through intrusion or invasion. Although we are called to be combative to the powers of darkness, we are to be honorably confronting to people, demonstrating the benefits and rewards of a superior Kingdom. The Church can’t afford to fall asleep in the harvest today as we have done so many times in the past. We are not supposed to reflect our culture; we are commissioned to transform it. When Jesus rules, He enables the principles of the King to transform the culture through the mind of Christ.”

Your love is better than anything else that would draw on my attention.

It is better than what the world can give.

Your love is pure, real, honest, filling, giving, now.

Your love is unconditional and calls me to respond, to love in return, to lay my life down for this love, to shout from the rooftops that this love is all there is to live for.

This love.  God’s love.

He loved me first.

His love heals, restores, redeems, creates, hopes.

His love never gives up and nothing can tear me away from this love.

It is freely given, and richly paid for.

“We must allow the Word of God to confront us, to disturb our security, to undermine our complacency and to overthrow our patterns of thought and behavior.” – John Stott

As I grow
And as I change
May I love you more deeply
I will lean upon your grace
I will reap because your goodness is unending

You are my vision
My reason for living
Your kindness leads me to repentance
I can’t explain it
This sweet assurance

The sun, moon, and stars
Shout your name
They give you reverence
And I will do the same
With all my heart I give you glory

I want to seek you first
I want to love you more
I want to give you the honor you deserve
So I bow before you
I am overcome by the beauty of this perfect love

brick-wall

Walls, I’ve decided, are dangerous.

Walls serve a purpose, yes.  They create a boundary and shelter us from storm and attack.

But walls can turn on us and serve us badly.

They keep good people out and distance us from healing.

Walls hinder progress and growth.

They restrict.

Walls make us a prisoner of our own making.

Walls keep us captive along with our pain and the things hiding in the dark.

We hide from each other.  We put walls up to keep us apart, to build a facade.  It’s part of our fallenness.

The danger of the wall is that it misrepresents us. What other people see is a lie. It’s not who we are or who we were born to be.

We need to realize that God loves us just the way we are right now, and His love for us will never diminish.  He loves the inside part of us.  He loves the broken places and has plans to heal and restore.  He loves us regardless of our flaws and our pain.  There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ.  No past, no present, no future, no falling, no sin, no mistake, no thought, no word, no action.

We need to take a deep breath, stir up courage and invite someone into the inner part of who we are.

We need to open the gates wide and let good people in, who want to help us walk free.  We need to open wide the gates to let God in, who is the One who can empower us to walk truly free.

We need to sometimes take a hammer to our pride and our fears and let the love and grace of God flood over us, washing us, freeing us, restoring us.

Don’t let your wall become a comfortable place to hide instead of choosing freedom.

Will you take the wall down today?

One brick at a time. Freedom is worth the risk.

He calls each one of us

By name

to come and wait

He whispers to your heart

to let it go and to be alive

Today is a new day, with new opportunities, new challenges.

Embrace them.  Seize them.  Live them.

Don’t live in the shadow of what might have been, what could have been, what was, what didn’t work.

Life is not about perfection, it is about progress.

Today hold onto the truth that God loves you and is for you.

That HE is the author writing the adventure of your life and that you can lean upon Him in all seasons.

In Him we will find our hope, our fire, our strength, our peace.

Today.

I’m a big fan of United Pursuit and their new album doesnt disappoint.

It has some moments that feel like they organically flow through the song, unstructured and unplanned.  They lift and touch the heart.

This song rings with the resolution that we’ve made up our mind to never go back to our old life, our old ways, that we have found hope and life in Jesus who calls us His own.
