If you’re having a hard day, watch this.

Let is write in your heart.

Let it speak hope and truth to your soul.

This is a song that has grown on me.   It was playing one day, in the background, and I felt my spirit respond.  Does that ever happen to you?  So I paused what I was doing, listened in, leaned in, and was like wow, those words match my heart.

I have come to this place in my life
I’m full but I’ve not satisfied
This longing to have more of You
And I can feel it my heart is convinced
I’m thirsty my soul can’t be quenched
You already know this but still
Come and do whatever You want to Read the rest of this entry »

“I will kneel in the dust, at the foot of the cross, where mercy paid for me.”

I love spontaneous worship – the overflow of worship in a moment, in a service, in a heart.

We worship you Jesus.

Worship is a powerful way to re-calibrate and refuel our heart.   In the storm, it brings peace.  In the fire, it is our hope.  In the wilderness it is our anchor.

It reminds us who God is, what He has done and what He can and will do.

Worship is that place that we find answers, wisdom, strength and comfort.

Whatever you face today, put on some worship and let the truth soak into your heart, reminding you of all that God is and that He loves you and is able.

There is something special about spontaneous worship, a song that arises from the heart of a worshipper,a worship team, a congregation… from the heart and to the heart of God.

There is something of the heart of God contained in this song.  Something big.

This song has exploded on the christian worship music scene and is signwriting the love of God into the sky so to speak.

It messes with your heart and encourages your soul.

You are loved.

You belong.

Your presence is life to our very bones

Now we drink you in, now  you overflow

As a mother, wife, housegroup leader, preacher, whatever – child of God – i need to be living in overflow.

Every day are opportunities that God has positioned me for.  I am called to know God and make Him known.

Every day I need Him, I need to walk with Him, I need to hear Him clearly.

Not just for my sake, but for the sake of the world. For the sake of my family.  For the sake of those I am called to lead.

I dont serve with my own gifts and ability soley.  I use them for God’s glory, but I serve with a greater power and a greater strength.

My capacity comes from God, from the Holy Spirit alive in me.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

So I need to be filled and overflowing.  The overflowing is where the real “magic” happens for lack of a better word.  It is when lives change.  It is when wisdom is said.  It is when grace is felt.  It is when the right thing is said at the right time.  It is when the world changes.

Without God I can feel dry.  My bones can feel tired.  My heart is duller.  My eyes are fixed on my own world.  Life becomes just breathing.

But life is more than breathing and I am made for more.

Today I choose to be filled.  Today I choose to seek more.  Today I love God.

Today I make room for overflow.

So thankful God created music as a way to respond to him cause there’s those times when nothing connects our hearts to his like music does  Brian Johnson (Bethel Worship)

I love worship.  It is me drawing near, confident in the promise of God that as I draw near intentionally to Him, He will draw near intentionally to me.  There is nothing better.

In Him I find hope.

In Him I find purpose.

In Him I find peace.

There have been times when the world rages around me and my world is a mess but when I draw into worship, I draw near to God, like a child on her Father’s knee, and I find my peace and security again.

Worship reminds me that God is God.  He is good, great, faithful, powerful.

It reminds my heart to trust and that God is worthy of that trust.

It replenishes the dry places in my soul, battered and weary from the day to day of breathing and living.

It restores my joy, the joy that comes from being loved by God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, ruler of all things, who breathed out the stars and holds the universe with the power of His word.

In Him I find love.

In Him I find shelter.

In Him I find faith.
