I had heard this song – done this way – with a twist – sometime a few years ago.  It blew my heart away.  I stumbled across it this week and have had it on repeat 🙂

Here are the lyrics to show the conversation, through song, between ourselves and God.

“Say Something”
Say something I’m giving up on you
I’ll be the one if you want me to
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I’m giving up on you
And I, I’m feeling so small
It was over my head
And I’m nothing at all
And I, will stumble and fall
I’m still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
Say something I’m giving up on you
I’m sorry that I couldn’t get to you
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I’m giving up on you
I will swallow my pride
You’re the one that I love,
and I’m saying goodbye
Say something I’m giving up on you
I’m sorry that I couldn’t get to you
Anywhere I would have followed you
Say something I’m giving up on you
Say something I’m giving up on you
Say something…
SCRIPTURE READING…
Be strong and courageous…
Come to me all who are weary…
For all who are led by my spirit are my sons and my daughters…
You are my son, today I become your Father…
Today, I’m going back to my father, and I’ll say to him, I don’t deserve to be called your son…
I’m a good Father. I know you. And I promise, you can hear my voice…
I’ve been watching you child
Still learning to love
Just starting to crawl
And I am waiting here now
Will you open your heart
I’ve been here all along
You say “I’m not giving up on you!”
You say “I’m still running after you!
Everywhere, I’ve been there with you!
Child, I will never give up on you!”
(x2)
Child, I will never give up on you.
Child, I have given my heart to you.
Child, I have given my heart to you.
Child, I will never give up on you.
