for me worship can be more than a song.
more than lyrics.
more than music.
more than a band.
more than instruments.
more than voices.
worship is a responding to God.
it is worshipping him. simple eh.
it is saying YES to everything He is and does and will do.
it is saying YES to who He is.
it is saying YES to what He will do in us and through us.
it is about giving God the worship according His name.
it is about communicating how awesome He is through song and music.
it is about surrender.
it is about joy.
Let’s go into next year, with all its adventures, with an accurate perception of who we are and who we are called to be.
You are eternity changers.
You are history makers.
You are lights in the darkness.
You are citizens of the kingdom of God.
You are saved, chosen and called.
The Big Question:
What are you going to do this year to live your call and your dream?
Some questions to ask yourself:
List your lifelong hopes and dreams. Don’t limit them by your current circumstances.
As you look back over your life and evaluate where you are now, determine the clues you’ve been given to help you understand your calling. Consider the things, people, causes or situations that have brought you joy and satisfaction, and have provided personal significance and meaning to you
Identify the area(s) where you would like to see your life make a difference, and for what you would like to be remembered.
List the memorable moments that have thus far shaped your life. Is there a pattern of opportunities that have arisen?
Brainstorm what you would do if you had the time, money, effort, energy, and passion to do whatever you want. Let your imagination run wild.
Assess your natural talents, skills and strengths for evidence of your calling. Are there any patterns, indicators or themes?
totally love my husband who is strong, wise, funny and compassionate. his dad died today and i again am reminded why i love him so and am so priv’d to be his wife.
totally love my daughter who is delightful and sweet and makes even the hard days a joy. she has had lots of questions and thoughts about heaven today and one of her first responses when i told them about their grandad was that when jesus comes back grandad will come back too and that he will be having fun with God in heaven.
totally love my spunky son, who is always on the go and loves soccer and is quite and thoughtful but chatty when he wants to be. i love his conversations. he is a rock and will be a rock, like his dad. he is funny and quick witted, loyal and a good friend. i am loving watching him become who he is.
today i am grateful for friends and family who have loved us and offered comfort and support. my father and law died after a hard year of bad health and heart problems. its times like this you remember what is important, who is important and that eternity is closer than we may think.
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. John 14:1-4
