My life mission is to Know God and make Him Known… and i believe my blog is an extension of my expression of that…
Themes that abound on this blog are: God – who he is, what he does, revival, passion for Jesus, evangelism, faith expressed in real life, trusting God no matter what, things from my bible, things i see on the net, heroes of the faith, worship, cool things about God, prayers, answers to prayers. this is my expression of my dreams and heart… my legacy… my life on paper…
So sit back and enjoy and i pray be inspired and encouraged to have faith in our awesome God!
A Few Things You Should Know:
Kia Ora, I’m Claire. I’m blessed to be a SAHM, of 11 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. I’ve been married for 12 years to an amazing spunk, my best friend and encourager extrodinnaire. More importantly I’ve been a christian since 1993 and that is what defines me, or rather been a child of God is really WHO I am. and i can now say that i have been a christian for MORE of my life than not a christian (does that make sense….) i preach, am part of our women’s ministry team, and am blest to lead the best housegroup in the world – an awesome radical bunch of young adults whom we adore with everything. We feel priv’d – and very called – to be part of the best church in the world… yes seriously!
I’m passionate about people knowing God, believing He is real and loves them and has called and empowered them. I’m passionate about people encountering God and drawing closer to Him. I’m dreaming of revival and living to make God famous! I love Jesus and let His love transform and permeate my life. I believe in the gospel and sharing the message of Good News as well as living it. I believe in God’s ableness to do amazing things. I believe there is more than we live and see now… nothing is impossible for God.
I love seeing young adults live changed lives because of Jesus, and am becoming more and more increasingly interested (aka passionate!) about women, esp young women and young mums (okay any woman of any age) discovering who God has created them to be, His child, loved and cherished, rescued and recruited. I think part of my God created DNA is that I want to live to make a difference – and that the people in my life are different because of God’s grace through me.
I think I’m alive in the most exciting days of history. I believe that we could be living in the last days (however long they last – Jesus said soon remember to his apostles and they awaited the day with eager expectation in their lifetime… so I follow example and cry Come Jesus Come!) and also follow the example of David, who served his generation and then died. Where I AM is where I AM and i’m going to run and burn and declare the works of God to my generation and the generations to come!
Esther 4:14 And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for a time like this?
Where am I?
I am in Auckland New Zealand, best place to live in the world. For those not in the know, New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, in fact go further south and you hit Antarctica. Think Lord of the Rings…. There are 3 main islands to our nation, and I live in the North Island, though have lived all the way down in the south and in between.
Why am I?
God made me. He loves me. I have a plan and a destiny. When I became a Christian I DIDN’T know that. One of the reasons I was attracted to Jesus (apart from the work of the Holy Spirit!) was because of the truth in this song “Don’t you know that I formed you before you were born I knew you, Don’t you know that my plan for you is good…. Don’t you know that I formed you before you were born I knew you, Don’t you know that my plan for you is good…. Look and see I’ve engraved you on the palms of my hands…. Look and see I’ve engraved you on my hands….”
I believe I am called to reflect the glory of God – to shine for Him, to demonstrate His love and grace in all i am and all i do and all i say.
2 Corinthians 4:7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Lord Spirit.
My life vision is to Know Him and make Him known, be that by preaching, one on one friendship, through what I write, through who I am.
I battle food allergies and in april 2012 found out i am allergic to wheat and begun a gluten free adventure. i regularly see an allergist and dietitian who have since done lots of tests and elimination diets to see what other things are going on in my body. i belive in healing by Jesus Christ and press on towards that freedom.
