The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.
And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!
‘Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. Ezekiel 37
Can these dry bones live? If God says YES then its all possible. Nothing is impossible for God. He is the almighty creator. He sees all and knows all. He has the power to bring such a radical change – death to life, restoration and creation.
God can take the valley of dry bones and turn them into a walking breathing ALIVE army. He doesn’t have false resurrections but total restoration. Its not a scene out of The Walking Dead but a total resurrection.
The dry bones are our own lives. the pain and the *crap* and the dysfunction and the hurt and the betrayal and the abuse. the normality and the mediocrity and the dissatisfaction and discouragement.
The dry bones are our communities and nations, filled with people’s broken lives and broken spirits.
Change can come. Resurrection is possible.
God brought Ezekiel to the valley just as He has brought us to our own community and positioned us in our lives.
God is able. Mighty. Creative. Powerful. The Healer. The Deliverer.
But it didn’t just take them power of God but Ezekiel speaking and acting. God was providing the supernatural but Ezekiel had to provide the natural by speaking and prophesying. Ezekiel had to step up and step out and speak. He had to put action to his faith.
For the sake of the world, for the sake of the army awaiting life, for the sake of the men and women needing salvation, rise and speak and live wholeheartedly for Jesus.
What is God calling you to DO? to BE?
What is the natural in the supernatural that God has called you to live?
Can these dry bones of our community live? Yes by them power of God and us saying YES and living it out.
Is there a rustling sound in your life? Ezekiel heard the rustling of bones coming together. Is there are rustling sound in our lives?
Don’t underestimate the changes you can’t see because them Holy Spirit lives within you to see life rise from death.
God is a powerful creative God… Able to bring life and changes where it seems impossible – come breathe Spirit of God, come breathe upon us!
