last weekend evangeline’s ballet class took part in performing at the owiroa school gala. they followed a cooking demonstration by MY KITCHEN RULES contestants Meg and Simon – who unfortunately had to contend with an extra ingredient – torrential rain! the cute face poking in the right hand corner is FLAT STANLEY – drawn and sent over all the way from perth by the kids cousin. its “a thing” that schools do, caleb has done it too. Flat Stanley came with us on a few adventures and is now is Gisbourne with their other grandparents before coming back to us for a trip to the city and some photos with some major landmarks.

just took the kids to Madagascar 3… very cool. esp when half the audience broke into song with the movie "baby you’re a firework…" i must say, the take away part for me (you know, the bit in kids movies you learn from) was that nothing is impossible and at the end, when the zoo animals realized that what they thought was great, was well, you know, not. and that living free as a circus animal was really living the dream. the dream they had was built on vain imaginations… and how often do we do that… look back at a relationship or a season in our life and glorify it as the good old days, and we trade the eternal for the temporary… we swap our birthright for our broth. yeah. i’m a shocker with my take aways, i take them away to a whole ‘nuther level! but re the movie, loved it. colourful. not much plot. but lots of laughs!
oh this so made me laugh! so an 80s girl!
and as always. i love Jesus with all i am and all my heart and all my soul and all my days. For His glory and the building of His kingdom and the rescue of the lost.
