i confess i’m not feeling very focused to write.
my kids were both sick and off school last week with temps and coughs and headaches and runny noses.
which meant we did a lot of snuggling and watching disney movies and star wars clone wars episodes, depending on whose turn it was to choose.
and now me and my husband are sick. so not fun. feels like i am walking through fog, laced with bricks.
i did learn one thing, from all my movie watching…
those that have a dream and a vision and go for it… that are focused on where they are going, on who they are being, they get there.
those with a plan and a purpose live with purpose
those with a point they’re living towards
i fix my eyes on Jesus. He is my focus. my constant (to use a LOST reference!)
i fix my eyes on Him, to know Him and make Him known.
i lift my eyes to focus on the plans and purposes He has for me, trusting in His promise, that He who begun a good work will complete it.
check out I LIFT MY EYES – it says it more eloquently…
#FiveMinuteFriday free write time! <—click to tweet this!
Five Minute Friday is a feature over at Lisa-Jo Bakers TALES FROM A GYPSY MAMA blog. i first read about it on my friend Fee’s blog and thought it sounded fun!
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
OK, are you ready?

I love the Jesus focus here! I hope you all feel better soon!
if it’s ever your turn to pick a movie, I’d go with “you’ve got mail”.

oh i love that movie… but my kids are prob too young… looking forward to when they’re a bit older to watch such good movies… and forrest gump, and princess bride and star trek…. i am glad they’re past the dora stage (my daughter anyway!) at age 10 and 7 now, was much more preferable to watch toy story3, aladian, nemo etc…

Being sick is no fun; having sick kiddos at home might be even less so! I pray you are on the mend. This was a simple and powerful reminder to press on and keep our eyes on the prize of Christ!
