Here
its a moment in time
right now
this second
never to be repeated
where i put my feet and lay my head now, is my reality
where my heart beats and my breath exhales
i must grasp it and grab it and live it and experience it
with all its promise and all its potential
Here
this moment right now
how often do we live for tomorrow, or weighed by the regret of the past
yet this is the moment we have and the moment we exist in
it is the here and now that determines our tomorrow but it is the here and now that must be realized and lived
Here in this moment i am loved by God
here in this moment i am accepted by God
here in this moment i am empowered by God
here in this moment i am chosen by God
here in this moment i am purposed by God
here in this moment i am secure by God’s grace
here in this moment God is with me, forever and always
my here is different my my here and my road is my own to walk. when i compare myself it robs me of the joy and the nowness of my here. your here, is there for me and i must be aware, that though i am ever changing and growing, that you have walked your own road to get to where you are. your here is your own. my here is my own.
Here, though it may be difficult, though it may be stressful, though it may be wearying, though it may be uncomfortable, though it may be busy, though it may be painful, though it may be joyous, though it may be delightful, though it may be full, though it may be stretching, though it may be restful, though it may be quiet, though it may be noisy, though it may be satisfying, though it may be not what i am expecting or desiring, though it may be lonely, though it may be peaceful… Here is my here. Here is my now.
I have the power to change my attitude to it. I have the power to change my perspective of it.
Today i choose to embrace my here and to embrace the purposes of God for it.
For He has seen all my here’s before i have and He has destined my here. My here belongs to Him.
* this song has been “my song” for the past few months, God breathing into my here and reminding me He is with me, is my strength, is my refuge, is my peace
Here by Kari Jobe
Come and rest here
Come and lay your burdens down
Come and rest here
There is refuge for you now
You’ll find His peace
And know you’re not alone anymore
He is near
You’ll find His healing
You’re heart isn’t shattered anymore
He is here
Breathe in
Breathe out
You will
You will find Him here
I will rest in You
You will find Him
You will find Him here
You will find Him
You will find Him here
#FiveMinuteFriday free write time! <—click to tweet this!
Five Minute Friday is a feature over at Lisa-Jo Bakers TALES FROM A GYPSY MAMA blog. i first read about it on my friend Fee’s blog and thought it sounded fun!
1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..
OK, are you ready?

Beautiful words! To know that here, right now, I am loved, accepted and chosen. Sometimes I dwell on where I could be other than here. Stopped over from the 5 Minute Friday!
