love this new song from PASSION // WHITE FLAG – powerful lyrics
You came down from heavens throne
this earth you formed was not your home
love like this the world had never known
A crown of thorns to mock your name
forgiveness fell upon your face
love like this the world had never known
on the altar of your praise let there be no higher name
jesus son of god
you laid down your perfect life
you are the sacrifice
jesus son of god
you are jesus son of god
you took our sin
you bore our shame
you rose to life
you defeated the grave
love like this the world had never known
be lifted higher than all you’ve overcome
your name be louder than any other song
there is no power that can come against your love
the cross was enough

yesterday, as well as turning 19 as a Christian, i found out officially officially that i am highly allergic to wheat (3+ out of 4) but not celiac (the gp thought i might of been) – but so highly enough and reactive enough (levels that are meant to be 100 or less are 3000… yip, i’m an over achiever… yikes!)
so that means i carry on with wheat free living.
good thing is i can still have pineapple lumps and jaffas. the vitals.
and have spent the last 2 weeks foraging around at the supermarket reading labels like a label geek and finding out foods i can and cant have.
what makes it somewhat challenging is that my daughter is allergic to dairy and nuts (means i’m used to eliminating foods and modifying recipes) and i am also allergic to eggs, nuts, shellfish and maybe admitting it, soy. so that means some of the stuff that “normal” GF people can eat, i cant.
yes, that makes me one of those people. who takes my own food to places. who questions the waiter like i’m a interrogator.
if you are friends with me on fb you may have noticed the plethora of GF food people and blogs i’m following.
i’m getting used to the taste of GF flour and breads. i LOVE burgen GF white bread. esp with grilled ham in my george forman grill. have experiemented with a few baking recipes and found the staff at the highland park natural foods shop there amazing and so helpful and supportive. i am also blest to have 3 friends with intolerances or celiacs who have been a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to me – including one who brought me GF hot cross buns for easter!
i confess that the biggest “meh” is takeaways… finding fast food that is fast and nearby and cheap is a bit of a mission. our remedy, keep on having fish and chips and i’m going to “reserve” mccains seasoned hash browns as my fast food, cooked at home, by me. not quite the same but will suffice. and they’re yum.
so there we go. that’s new in my life – what’s new in yours?
