Worship Wednesday – God is Able

 

 

i passionately believe that worship is two fold – it is us singing love and honour songs to God but it also REWRITES things in our hearts and fixes our eyes upon Jesus and expands our vision and comphrension of WHO He IS.    when i worship my heart draws close to God.  when i worship i fix my eyes upon His greatness and goodness. 

that is why i love God is Able by Hillsong Live.  its such a hope filled anthem that totally stirs faith.  it counters the lie that God is not able.  it breathes life into my heart and mind.  at our women’s conference i told the group that i reckoned there were people there that needed to buy this cd and listen to this song on repeat, to rewrite faith and hope into their heart.  *bossy me eh!

sometimes we totally need to remind ourselves that YES, God is ABLE.  that He will never leave us.  that He is almighty and powerful.

my favourite bible verse at the moment is this: the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! Isaiah 30:18

is this what your heart is telling you?  sometimes our hearts trip us up and make us doubt or reduce God in size. 

worship fixes our eyes upon the greatness and goodness and power of God.
