just last night downloaded from itunes bryan and katie torwalt’s album HERE ON EARTH.  they’re from jesus cultureish – as in affiliated with them and helped lead worship during jesus culture awakening.  i was first attracted by the fantastic album cover (yip, i totally judge a book/cd by its cover!) and then the fantastic music – totally up my musicality style wise and worship wise i love their heart!  i esp love Holy Spirit, I Breathe You in God, I’m a lover of Your Presence… i think the heartbeat of this album is that God is glorious and that we can draw near to Him…  definitely worth checking out.  The last song has a kinda gungor/mumford and sons kinda feel to it and they have some really cool musicality.

My favorite song today (i say today because i know that i am going to find lots of favourites on the album!) is the one above, I’M A LOVER OF YOUR PRESENCE because i love songs with a real leaning towards seeking God and knowing God.  for me its a more personal worship song than a corporate worship song, as in its one i want to shut myself away and sing. I love the theme of this song. The theme is all about encountering the presence of the Holy Spirit during our times of worship and through all our lives really!  its about loving Him!

so i totally recommend them if you’re looking for new music and new worship music!  now today i’m making space to have a really good worship sess at home!

 

 

 

update:  oooh new new favourite HE IS FAITHFUL – “i feel a generation, breaking through this veil, i hear a generation full of faith declare, and our song it will be, out of the darkness we will rise and sing… He is faithful… He is glorious… He is Jesus!  He is freedom, He is healing right now, He is hope joy love peace life!  i see a generation with resurrection life, we are the generation filled with the power of Christ…”  i can feel this one getting into my heart and love its declaration!
