Jesus IS… the lover of my soul

now i dont really like the title, it goes with the series… i’m more fond of calling it Jesus loves me this i know…  more preparation notes for JESUS IS in housegroup….

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. ⁸But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8

 

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. ¹⁰This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  1 John 4:9-10

 

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, ⁵made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.  Ephesians 2:4-5

 

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. john 15:13

 

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, ³⁹neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

 

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children ²and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:2

 

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, ¹⁸may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, ¹⁹and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

 

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
       so great is his love for those who fear him;

¹² as far as the east is from the west,
       so far has he removed our transgressions from us.   Psalm 103:11-12

 

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. John 15:9

 

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. Ephesians 5:25

 

…casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
