i’ve been reading some awesome posts today and thought i would share them with you….
Who Won The Battle? over at Mental Reflection…. challenging and inspiring post…. ““For hands were lifted up to the throne of the Lord.” If that doesn’t describe prayer, I don’t know what does. Have you ever tried to hold something above your head for any length of time? After a very short time, the lactic acid builds up, the bloodflow decreases, and it’s really hard to hold your hands up. I can’t imagine how it would have felt after hours and hours. Moses did his best by himself, but it wasn’t enough. You can imagine the shock he, Aaron and Hur would have felt when Moses felt he’d done enough and needed a rest. As soon as he lowered the staff, the battle favoured the Amalekites. But how to continue when you’re exhausted?” go on – go and read the rest!
The Proverbs 32 Woman – no you didnt read wrong… a fanastic encouraging post to make you smile and to inspire you and encouage you to draw near to our God…. “I think God finds the woman of excellence. She may not be excellent when He finds her but she will become new. The bible tells us, “…If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come”(2 Cor 5:17) Every day and I venture to say moment by moment, I notice parts of my character and personality that have been affected by years in a dysfunctional relational culture. Bit by bit the Holy Spirit brings something to mind that requires tweaking and my eyes open and I think “Ohhhh, so that’s it”. Its quite fascinating yet extremely slow and remedial. Sometimes I feel like a piece of clay that He was forming into a particular vessel. As I refused to bend to His touch, I developed irreparable flaws. Flaws so destructive that He had to completely tear down what had been shaped and start over with me as a lump on the potter’s wheel. In this condition I am much more pliable and moldable in His hands. I don’t cling to any former shape or structure. The old has gone, the new has come.” go read the rest… her description of the prov 32 woman is hairlarious!
My Dreams over at God Songs is a fantastic post that inspires me… “Broken homes, mended. Broken hearts, whole. Broken lives, restored. Broken marriages and broken families reconciled. It is my passion in life to carry on the work of Jesus Christ and see the lost find their way home. The life of a worshiper. There’s no life like it. Read Isaiah 61 below. This is what Jesus lived His life doing and in turn we can do the same.”
if you havent checked out sound of a soft breath yet – well you just must. Jesus Identified With Us is a recent post that i really loved. “Christianity is all about identification. Calling oneself a Christian is saying to all that you have identified yourself with Christ Jesus, the very Son of God. I follow Christ. I worship Christ.” “Jesus was “numbered” with us. Jesus bore our sin. He took the weight of our failure and rebellion on himself. He identified our sin with himself. He took our punishment. Because Jesus identified himself with me and my failures. Because he paid the price for my wrongs I can be called a co-heir, a heir, a child, a son of God. God identifies with me.”
i also really love reading Larry Who’s blog… he has this great series at the mo on the prophetic – its real and relevant. “If you want, you, too, can give prophetic words to unbelievers, believers and whosoever as you journey through life. The Lord is looking for willing vessels to speak for Him.”

Thanks for the shout out! Thanks also for the links. I really liked the My Dreams post too. Great passage of scripture. One of my favorites since I first read it for a Beth Moore study.
