i love the word BUT.

i love the BUTs in the bible.

now read this the right way – God puts great BUTs in our lives!

Psalm 27:1-3

You, LORD, are the light that keeps me safe.

I am not afraid of anyone.

You protect me, and I have no fears.

Brutal people may attack and try to kill me,

but they will stumble.

Fierce enemies may attack,

but they will fall.

Armies may surround me,

but I won’t be afraid;

war may break out,

but I will trust you.

awesome eh!  though the world looks dark BUT i will trust you God.  life may be difficult BUT i make the choice to believe that God sees and knows and is at work.  i may have obstacles BUT God is with us.  we may want to fix everything ourselves and work it all but BUT we should cast our cares upon God who cares for us.

a simple word, a small word, but with lots of power and meaning.  make the BUT real in your life!

we can see. we can hear. we can know…

my favourite bible verse is 1 Corinthians 2:9-10

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”

But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit.

For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.”

i love love love this passage! and because i love it i live my life on it.

you see most people only read the eye has not seen and ear not heard nor has the heart compherended God and leave it at that – happy to accept that yes, God is indescrible, awesome, big, great, wow type thing. which he so is. God is a mystery and wonderous and indescribable and allpowerful and amazing.

BUT God has revealed these things – what are the these things – the things that eye has not seen, or ear heard, or heart compherened – these things he has revealed to us his children because he lives in side us! inst that wow.

it means thta we can know God, hear God, live for God, honour God, walk with God, be known by God, have relationship with God, know his will and his ways etc etc etc.

i dont take it as that we can know every minute detail of God or even the big picture but we can know so much more and so easier than we think or limit ourselves.

Remember, Jesus died on the cross to make a new and living way to God, so we are now acceptable, righteous, holy and his children, part of the family.

We can boldly approach the throne of grace, the veil that was between man and God is gone, torn, destroyed by the work of Jesus on the cross and now the Holy Spirit lives within us – God IN me. he teaches and guides us. wow. wow.wow!

so be excited and freed by thekreality that eye can see and ear can hear and our heart can know the good things that God has prepared for us because he lives within us and reveals those things to us.

i love how sometimes a song can teach us – a song can contain truth that lifts us up and changes us and gives us faith… do u know what i mean?

its like it teaches us what the truth is and we then see clearer, or see bigger – and we see God as he is, more than we did before.

worship is us loving God and drawing near to him and worshipping him and honouring him… and it is also us declaring the truth of his power and love…

yesterday in church the worship team played this song for the first time… i was semi recongizing it from somewhere… some cd i own perhaps… but had never played it much and given it much attention….

and it got my attention yesterday….

and it spoke truth to my heart…

and made me look up at my great God…

and trust him more…

the chorus is real simple:

and that did it for me.

simple words.
big truth.
our God reigns. over all. the name of Jesus Christ is above all names. he is king of kings and lord of alls. though him and by him and for him is all creation. he holds all together with the power of his word.
his kingdom reigns. he reigns. he sees all and knows all and is working in all. he reigns.

i do not need to run after this and that to find answers. i need to come and find him and surrender to him and trust him. that is what faith is. saying you are big enough God and i will trust you.

his kingdom reigns. he is big enough. he is God.
